Technical Committees
Objective
SAFed Technical Committees meet to discuss all matters affecting the interface of Directives and Regulations in relation to all aspects of inspection relating to:
TC 1 Pressure equipment
TC 1 meets on a regular basis to discuss any matter affecting the inspection of Pressure Equipment. In addition it produces from time to time specific SAFed Guidelines and Guidance to meet arising situations.
TC2 Lifts, lifting plant and mechanical plant
TC 2 meets on a regular basis to discuss any matter affecting the inspection of lifts, lifting plant and mechanical plant. In addition it produces from time to time specific SAFed Guidelines and Guidance to meet arising situations.
TC3 Electrotechnical
TC 3 meets on a regular basis to discuss any matter affecting the inspection of electro technical equipment. In addition it produces from time to time specific SAFed Guidelines and Guidance to meet arising situations.
TC4 Welding and other methods of joining materials and materials technology
TC 4 meets on a regular basis to discuss any matter relating to welding and other methods of joining materials and additionally, on technical matters related to materials technology. In addition it produces from time to time specific SAFed Guidelines and Guidance to meet arising situations.
TC5 Non-destructive testing
TC 5 meets on a regular basis to discuss any matter relating to non-destructive testing. In addition it produces from time to time specific SAFed Guidelines and Guidance to meet arising situations.
TC6 Conformity assessment
TC 6 meets as required to discuss any matter affecting conformity assessment. In addition it produces from time to time specific SAFed Guidelines and Guidance to meet arising situations.
TC7 Power Presses
TC 7 meets on a regular basis to discuss any matter affecting the inspection of power presses. In addition it produces from time to time specific SAFed Guidelines and Guidance to meet arising situations.
TC8 Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV)
TC8 meets on a regular basis to discuss any matter affecting the inspection of local exhaust ventilation. In addition it produces from time to time specific SAFed Guidelines and Guidance to meet arising situations.
TC 9 Health and Safety
TC9 meets on a regular basis to discuss any matter affecting Health and Safety.
