SAFed Membership Subscriptions
SAFed subscription fees are dependent upon
turnover related to inspection activities. Annual subscriptions as
at 1st April 08, subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.

The SAFed membership year is from 1 Apr - 31
Mar. Subscriptions are due in quarterly payments as at 1 Apr, 1 Jul,
1 Oct & 1 Jan.
The application fee is £250 + VAT and is due on application. This is
for the initial review of technical documentation and site visit and will
be refundable if the application does not meet the membership criteria.
Associate members, who have not yet achieved accreditation to ISO IEC
17020 and full membership will be required to be assessed on a regular
basis (normally every two years) for which a site visit and continuation
assessment fee of £250 + VAT will be due.
Notes:
- 'Turnover' is defined as the income
received from inspection, certification, and testing of engineering
and manufacturing plant, machinery and equipment by the company
for the 12 month period that is the subject of the 'Last Published
Accounts'. This includes all work carried out under the company
name including subcontracted work, work carried out by consultants,
other individuals or companies.
- If the last published accounts represent
a period less than 365 days 'turnover' the subscription fee will
be calculated on an annualised basis.
